Romance Posters

Romantic Poster tends to use feminine colors such as pink, white and blue, which are used to attract their female audiences because they tend to enjoy love stories. The colors give off a happy feel as it hints that the main two protagonists are going to end up together.

Most romance poster places the female protagonist in the center or the foreground to show that she’s the main character implying that the plot will follow her point of view on finding her love or perhaps she has control over the male character. It may include props that identifies with the romance film e.g. flowers to target the female audience.

Some poster includes the main two protagonist that are place on the cover and it uses up majority of the space which highlights that they’re romantically involved, allowing the to have limited information on the casts of the film that may encourage the viewers to watch the film. This is a unique selling point because the actors are usually well known in the romance genre, ensuring that the film will clearly show romance. The couple is normally looking away from the camera to show the audience that they’re deep in love. The lighting is high key lighting to show the joy of their relationship, which those female viewers wish for or relate to.
